About Andrews Memorial Hospital
Andrews Memorial Hospital is strategically located in the city of Kingston, is owned and operated by the Seventh-day Adventist Church. We are the number one stand-alone hospital on the island.
The vision of Andrews Memorial Hospital is to be the leader in healthcare excellence by working with its employees and physicians to build an institution that is focused on the well-being of people, one that is patient oriented and offers world-class healthcare services.
We are dedicated to healing the whole person, by not only focusing on our patient’s physical health but also their mental and spiritual wellbeing.
Why their team made the switch

At Andrews Memorial Hospital, maintaining hygiene, efficiency, and accessibility is critical to patient care and staff well-being. Prior to partnering with Newport, the hospital faced ongoing challenges: bottled water frequently ran out, and staff had to rely on porters—who weren’t always available—to replace them. These interruptions affected convenience and disrupted workflow.
Newport’s bottle-less dispensers, placed in public access areas and lunchrooms helped address these issues by providing constant access to hot, cold, and ambient water. When speaking on the placement of a system where access to water was originally not possible, CEO / Director of Finance, Bruce Jones stated “…now at my convenience, I can just stop here and have a drink of water. Access for me is important, and this is very accessible.”
The staff also appreciated the unit’s sleek design, space-saving footprint, and ease of use.
The switch aligned with the hospital’s broader goals of promoting health and environmental sustainability. By eliminating single-use plastic bottles, Andrews Memorial reinforced its commitment to reducing waste and supporting climate-conscious initiatives.
The installations of Newport’s systems not only solved logistical problems, but also improved access, enhanced workplace efficiency, and supported a healthier, greener environment.
How our team made it happen:
Having an area in a building that has no access to water, like the Andrews Memorial Hospital’s hallway, can be the number one reason persons opt for bottled water systems.
In this video at another client, we had the opportunity to demonstrate how easy it can be for one of our bottle-less water dispensers to be installed far away from a potable water source.
Our Managing Director, Shawn Gibbons walks us through the process.
